Periscope Equity promoted John Findlay to partner. Findlay joined Periscope in 2013 as vice president and the firm's first hire. He worked on each of Periscope's platform investments to date and served on the boards of Sentrics, Strategic Pharma Solutions and currently serves on the boards of Power Digital Marketing and Integrated Behavioral Health.
Novo Seeds co-led a 20 million euros Series A funding round in Stipe Therapeutics alongside Arix Bioscience. Other investors in the funding round include Wellington Partners Life Science Venture Capital Management and Sunstone LSV General Partner IV.
Cresco Capital Partners led a $7.5 million Series B funding round in PathogenDx, which provides testing technology for the cannabis, hemp, agriculture and food safety industries. Additional investors in the funding round include Altitude Investment Management, Arcadian Investment Partners, Panther Opportunity Fund, Salveo Capital, Flatiron Venture Partners and others.
Harbour Energy, backed by EIG Global Energy Partners, completed the acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ U.K. oil and gas business for about $2.6 billion. The deal also includes an interest in Clair Field in the West of Shetlands. The deal was made through Harbour's North Sea subsidiary Chrysaor Holdings.
Investcorp completed the sale of a portfolio of multifamily properties in Raleigh, North Carolina, to TruAmerica Multifamily. Investcorp sold the portfolio for a combined total of about $109 million. Investcorp acquired the 830-unit portfolio in 2016 and completed a number of upgrades to the properties.
NMS Capital-backed Anne Arundel Dermatology Management partnered with four groups in North Carolina: Southern Dermatology; Azalea Skin Treatment Center; Raleigh Dermatology Associates, and Skin Solutions; and Audrey F. Echt. The four practices have four locations and about 20 provides serving the Raleigh, North Carolina market. With the addition of the four practices, Anne Arundel Dermatology supports 55 clinic locations across four states and more than 150 providers.

The Halifax Group completed the recapitalization of Prairie Industries and Nu-Pak, partnering on the deal with founders and management, who will remain active in the company. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Prairie provides packaging and warehousing of consumer and industrial products, while Nu-Pak focuses on ready-to-eat and healthy snacking foods and products.
Sentinel Capital Partners recapitalized New Era Technology, which provides IT services like collaboration, data networking and security. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sentinel Capital partnered with New Era's management and existing investor Gemini Investors, on the deal. Over the past 12 months, Sentinel Capital made five new platform investments.
