Lovell Minnick Partners agreed to acquire a majority stake in Inside Real Estate, a SaaS platform for the residential real estate market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company works with more than 200,000 top agents, teams and brokerages.
Fundraising keeps up pace as M&A slows, Motive Partners collects $500 mln
Equistone Partners-backed CH&CO acquired Mitie Catering as its first add-on to its purchase of CH&CO in May 2019. Mitie is comprised of Gather & Gather and Creativeevents. The deal adds increased sales of 137 million pounds to CH&CO, 330 more sites across the U.K. and Ireland and an additional 3,600 team members to the company.
SK Capital agreed to acquire Performance Products & Solutions business from maker of specialized polymer materials PolyOne Corp in a deal valued at about $775 million. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
The Engine, the VC group launched by MIT, led a $4 million seed funding in Cambridge Crops, which uses silk-powered technology to slow the exchange of gases that causes food decay. Other investors in funding round included Refactor Capital, Closed Loop Ventures, Bluestein & Associates, SOSV and Supply Chain Ventures.
Mill Point Capital-backed KKSP Precision Machining acquired Grove Industries, which makes brass machined metal hose fittings and adapters on automatic screw machines. KKSP has a single facility in Illinois.
Carlyle Group agreed to provide up to 176 million pounds ($213.8 million) in financing to Leaders Romans Group, a U.K.-based property services group owned by Bowmark Capital. Financing includes a 126 million pound senior secured term loan, 25 million pound acquisition facility and up to 25 million pound accordion acquisition facility. Carlyle provided the financing through its Carlyle Credit Opportunities Fund, which closed on $2.4 billion.

Ares Management hired ex-Fortress executive Joel Holsinger as co-head of alternative credit, effectively immediately. Holsinger will work alongside Keith Ashton co-leading alternative credit to expand Ares's global coverage of the sector, which targets asset-focused direct investments primarily in North America and Europe. Holsinger previously was a partner with Fortress Investment Group, where he was a member of the management committee and the investment committee for the credit funds. Before, he was a founding partner at Atalaya Capital Management.
